One of the biggest complaints I hear as an English Coach: “They speak too fast!”
If you want to be a CLEAR speaker in English and share your message… slow down a bit!
Whether you grew up in Wisconsin or Japan, speaking too quickly often raises more questions than answers, because your audience needs more time to grasp the content of what you’re saying, especially if you are talking to colleagues around the world.
Speaking fast is NOT a sign of a good speaker.
A considerate global professional takes into account:
1. Different English levels
2. Different accents
3. Sound interference
4. The information being shared is probably new and needs to be digested.
So, moderate your pace. Your colleagues and audience will love you for it!
